What to expect during a visit
Before the appointment

2. We ask you to contact your primary veterinary office to email us the following if taken recently.

On the day of appointment
1. Please bring all medications and drug bottles.
2. We encourage you to arrive 15 min early to fill out the New Patient Form (Please use the button below.) in the hospital, if not filled out online.
3. You will be escorted to an exam room at the scheduled appointment time. New appointments are 1 hour consultation.
4. Cardiology nurse will obtain medical history, purpose of visit, and approval of treatment plan, and will take your pet to the Cardiology room for physical examination and diagnostic tests.
- Please note that all new patients are subjected to echocardiogram (15 ~ 25 min).
- If hair coat is thick, a small area (3 cm x 3 cm) of the chest may need to be shaved.
- If indicated, other diagnostic tests (Holter monitor, electrocardiography, blood pressure, chest x-rays) will be discussed for their indications and estimates.
5. Upon completion of cardiac evaluations, cardiologist will come to the exam room and discuss findings, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prognosis, and recheck plans.
6. If a surgical procedure is determined to be the best option for your pet, Cardiology nurse will help schedule the procedure and provide you with an estimate.
7. A full summary report will be emailed to you and your primary veterinary office by the end of the same day.
